the last supper

Maundy Thursday is upon us. Jesus is prepared to die for our sins and is entering into his last day. They share their last meal together: "take this bread and wine and eat and drink of it, do this in remembrance of me". Jesus also performs the menial task of washing their feet, symbolizing his love. Would you wash the feet of someone you know who was going to betray you? Jesus is showing us servitude which he wants from all of us; "go and do unto others as I have done to you".
