St. Peter's CWL

St. Peter's first CWL meeting was held in the rectory (as there was no church built yet) on May 5, 1978 and our first president was Mrs. Frances Fray, who was presented with a gavel by Fr. Henke. In the 40+ years since we have grown from 30 members to over 220 fabulous women. We've baked cakes and pies, made phone calls, knitted mittens and prayer shawls, written letters (and cheques) to charities, prepared food hampers, supported seminarians and foster children, organized funeral luncheons and national conventions, deboned and stuffed dozens of turkeys, decorated advent wreaths, volunteered at school and parish events, and all manners of other good works, while sharing in our faith journey.
