Resolutions

In 2014 a resolution was brought to the National Convention in Edmonton regarding equal maternity rights for adoptive parents, which started right here in St. Peter's. What begins as a single grass roots issue or concern is identified, researched, and presented first to parish council then on up till eventually it is presented to the entire National membership, and if approved from there to the various ministers of federal government. Since the first National Convention in Montreal in 1920 (when only half the membership did not even yet have the right to vote!) approximately 1000 such resolutions have been presented, and have become the basis for real social change in our society.
