PENTECOST/TRINITY SUNDAY

After just celebrating Pentecost Sunday (Whitsunday), which commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit forty days after the Ascension, upon the Apostles in Jerusalem, we are now preparing for Trinity Sunday, where the Most Holy Trinity, God in three Persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, is observed. With this, the Easter season within the Church is over and we are also back in ordinary time. Since Ash Wednesday on February 14 to Pentecost Sunday on May 20 we have been on a very holy and spiritual journey.
